I’ve started doing video production, and I love everything about it. I produce screen-recorded video, so I can work with people no matter where they are located.

Video is engaging, captures people’s attention, and has become a truly significant part of content marketing.

1. At my YouTube channel, Midlife Dialogues, I post mostly screen-recorded videos where I interview people doing interesting things in their midlife (roughly defined as 50-plus). You can see all my Midlife Dialogues videos here. I post every other Tuesday.
2. I’m also producing a YouTube channel called What Would Our Kupuna Do? That’s for a client here in Hawai‘i who’s involved in very practical energy and other substainability issues. The channel is named for his book, where he wrote about learning from his Hawaiian kūpuna (elders). In the book and on the vlog, he talks about changes we can make now, as today’s elders, to make Hawai‘i Island a more sustainable place for our grandchildren and their grandchildren to live. I really enjoy video production, everything from planning and scripting to interviewing and editing.

The new year always feels like a fresh start for my business, and I love it. I’ve taken some time to ponder what work I enjoyed most this year and what I want to focus on next year. Here’s the first of seven posts about my business plans for 2024.

B2B TECHNOLOGY CONTENT MARKETING WRITER

First of all, I’ll continue taking on B2B technology content marketing writing projects. I’ve written extensively about technology, and I really enjoy it. It keeps me current on interesting things happening in this science fiction world we live in.

I work with marketing agencies and companies, writing about tech topics such as AI, IoT, VR, AR, the cloud, digital transformation, cybersecurity, sustainable business, agricultural tech, travel tech, food tech, and hospitality tech. I especially like working with companies or agencies that focus on ongoing projects. My work includes blogs and other articles, case studies, infographics, ebooks, email nurture series, and white papers.
